Comments.
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data specified in the comment form, as well as the visitor's IP address and browser user agent string to identify spam.
An anonymised string created from your email address (hash) may be transferred to the Gravatar service to verify that you are using it. Gravatar's privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile avatar will be made publicly available in the context of your comment.
Media files
If you upload images to your site, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and retrieve this data from images on your site.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our website, you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies. This is for your convenience, so that you do not have to fill in the data again when you leave another comment. These cookies have a validity period of one year.
If you visit our login page, we will create a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain any personal data and will be deleted when you close your browser.
When you log in, we set several cookies to save your login details and screen settings. The login cookies are stored for two days and the screen settings cookies are stored for one year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login information will be stored for two weeks. When you log out of your account, the login cookies will be deleted.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. It does not contain any personal data and simply indicates the ID of the article you have just edited. It has a validity period of 1 day.

How long we keep your data
When you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are stored indefinitely. This allows you to automatically identify and approve subsequent comments instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information provided in their profile. All users can see, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except for changing their username). Site administrators can also see and edit this information.
Your rights regarding your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request erasure of any personal data we hold about you. This does not include data that we are required to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.
